Vintage 1980s Signed Bayanihan Modernist Sterling Silver Sculptural Bangle Bracelet
Circa 1970s-1980s.
Inside of bracelet is stamped "BAYANIHAN LTD." with copyright symbol & "925".
The name derives from the Filipino concept of bayanihan, which translates to "working together" or a spirit of communal unity. The designer, W. Thomas Burns, established the Bayanihan Jewelry Company in Massachusetts in 1974 after his service with the Peace Corps in the Philippines.
Bracelet has an inner circumference of approximately 6.4 inches. More suitable for a petite wrist.
At widest points, bracelet has a width of approximately 1.25 inches.
Bracelet weighs approximately 76.58 grams.
The bracelet uses an integrated push-button box clasp with a secure exterior safety latch mechanism to keep the split-hinge securely locked.
In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Silver has some patina as expected with age & wear, but can be polished if you desire. Please see all photos.
