Vintage Sterling Silver Polished Rainbow Moonstone Cabochon Statement Ring US 8 3/4
Beautiful sterling silver ring with a large bezel-set polished rainbow moonstone cabochon in a marquise shape.
While traditional moonstone exhibits a captivating play of light in soft hues, the iridescence of rainbow moonstone adds a vibrant, multicolored dimension.
Rainbow moonstone, despite its name, is not a true moonstone. It is actually a variety of labradorite. What sets rainbow moonstone apart is its inclusion of albite, which refracts light as it enters the stone, creating a rainbow-colored sheen.
Inside of band is stamped “925” and appears to have maker’s mark of “MF G”.
Ring measures approximately a US size 8 3/4 on mandrel.
Weighs approximately 9.67 grams.
In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Silver may have some patina as expected with age & wear, but can be polished if you desire. Please see all photos.
