
Vintage Signed TF-32 Taxco Mexico Sterling Silver 925 & Enamel Snake Head Split Tongue Pendant
Circa 1980s-1990s.
Impressive & intricately crafted sterling silver snake head pendant with white & turquoise patterned enamel and a split tongue detail.
Top of pendant is stamped “MEXICO TF-32”. Not marked for metal content, but is sterling silver.
Circa 1979, the eagle system was put to rest and replaced by a new letter/number mark to indicate the silversmith and guarantee sterling standard. The “T” represents Taxco, and the “F” represents the first initial of the silversmith. The number indicates that the maker is the 32nd smith, with a name beginning with F, register a mark in his city's assay office.
Measures approximately 1.8 inches long (including bail) by 0.9 inch wide.
Weighs approximately 10.78 grams.
