Vintage Robin’s Ind. USA Glazed Ceramic Painted Apothecary Jar Rhoeados Petala Red-Poppy Petals w/ Lid 8.25”
Vintage ceramic glazed apothecary jar decorated with painted florals and a snake. Labeled as “RHOEADOS PETALA” which translates to red-poppy petals. Red poppy petals were/are used as a mild pain reliever and as a treatment for irritable coughs but also help to reduce children's nervous over-activity.
Bottom of jar is embossed “ROBIN’S IND. USA”.
Jar measures approximately 8.25 inches tall (with lid). Bottom of jar has a diameter of approximately 3.6 inches.
In great condition. Please note there is a small flea bite chip along the edge of jar’s opening, as pictured. Please see all photos.
