Underside of brooch is hand signed "J Lipchitz" for Jacques Lipchitz.
Jacques Lipchitz (1891–1973), a renowned Cubist sculptor, created a very limited number of highly collectible, unique jewelry pieces. These pieces primarily include pendants, alongside Israel Bond sponsor pins created between 1967 and 1971. His rare jewelry work often reflects the same expressive, sculptural, and occasionally mythological style as his larger sculptures.
Brooch measures approximately 2 inches long by 1.8 inches wide (at widest points).
