Vintage 1950s Signed Hroar Prydz Sterling Silver & Guilloche Enamel Yellow, White, and Black Butterfly Brooch Midcentury
Circa 1950s, Midcentury. Made in Norway.
Beautifully crafted in exceptional detail. Hues of yellow and white with black spots.
Back of brooch is signed “STERLING 925S” with Hroar Prydz maker’s mark, and “NORWAY”.
Hroar Prydz (1886-1963) was a sterling silver jewelry designer who specialized in wonderfully detailed enamel butterflies. He designed jewelry in the early to mid-twentieth century in Oslo, Norway. His shop was active from until his death, when Hans Myhre took over the operation and letter integrated it into famous David Andersen.
Brooch measures approximately 2.5 inches long by 1.4 inches wide.
Weighs approximately 17.55 grams.
In excellent condition with no noticeable flaws. Silver may have some minor patina as expected with age & wear, but can be polished if you desire. Please see all photos.
