Underside of pitcher is stamped "Jasper Ware Made in England Since 1800 Dudson Hanley".
Features raised white neoclassical or Grecian-style figural reliefs against a rich dark blue or cobalt matte stoneware body.
Founded in 1800 by Richard Dudson in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, the family-run firm began producing neoclassical matte-finish jasperware in the 19th century. Dudson's affordable, durable jasperware lines became popular alternatives to Wedgwood.
Pitcher measures approximately 5.9 inches tall. Base has a diameter of approximately 2.95 inches.
