Antique Victorian Round Hollow Etched Gold Filled Pendant or Brooch with Coral Branch
Can be worn as a pendant or as a brooch/pin. Back is affixed with a loop for putting on a chain, and has a C-clasp pin as well.
Not marked, but presumed to be gold filled like most of the jewelry during its time.
Beautifully etched with a small coral branch at the center.
Coral jewelry was thought in Victorian times to promote good health and it was often worn by young children for this reason.
Coral is also associated with the boundless sea and with longevity.
