Bail is marked FR. Inside locket is marked Sterling with a maker mark 2 stars and an asterisk. Has an unfinished look inside. Opens from the left, which a rare or very uncommon. The hinge works perfectly, but can be difficult to open because the closure is so tight and secure. Not very suitable for photos. Has a convex shape on the outside when closed. See photos.
