
Antique Art Deco Hallmarked F&B Foster and Bailey Sterling Silver Double Sided Mirror Compact
Circa 1920s-1930s, Art Deco.
Inside of compact is stamped “F&B STERLING”.
Foster & Bailey, known for its "F&B Sterling" hallmark, was an American silversmith firm operating from 1878 to 1898, succeeding White & Foster, and later continuing as Theodore W. Foster & Bros. until 1951, using the same mark.
The company specialized in creating high-quality sterling silver and gold-plated jewelry pieces that were popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Exterior of compact is decorated with a striped etched design, and a blank rectangle for possible name/initial engraving.
Push button closure opens compact to reveal a gold tone interior and double sided mirror.
Compact has an outer diameter of approximately 2.05 inches, and a depth of approximately 0.45 inch.
Weighs approximately 43.97 grams.
In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Has some minor patina and surface level wear as expected with age, but can be polished if you desire. Please see all photos.
