Vintage Signed 800 Silver Filigree Frame Miniature Painting St. Fabiola Brooch or Pendant
Beautiful miniature hand painted portrait of Saint Fabiola of Rome, housed in an intricate filigree silver frame.
St. Fabiola is the patron saint of divorced persons, difficult marriages, abused spouses, and the hospice movement. A 4th-century Roman noblewoman, she is also venerated as a patron of nurses, noted for her public penance and founding of one of the first Christian public hospitals in the West.
Underside of brooch is stamped "800" for 800 silver. No visible maker's marks on back, though painting appears to be signed "G. Duphetti"
Can be worn as a brooch or a pendant! Hidden bail on back.
Measures approximately 2 inches long by 1.8 inches wide.
Weighs approximately 11.20 grams.
