Vintage Signed Taxco TC-80 Sterling Silver Abstract Modernist Drop Earrings
Circa 1980s. Taxco, Mexico.
Back of each earring is stamped “925” and "TC-80".
Circa 1979, the eagle system was put to rest and replaced by a new letter/number mark to indicate the silversmith and guarantee sterling standard. The “T” represents Taxco, and the “C” represents the first initial of the silversmith. The number indicates that the maker is the 80th smith, with a name beginning with C, register a mark in their city's assay office.
Each earring measures approximately 1.9 inches long by 0.7 inch wide (at widest points).
Earrings have a combined weight of approximately 10.53 grams.
In good condition with no noticeable flaws. Silver may have some minor patina as expected with age & wear, but can be polished if you desire. Please see all photos.
